Liverpool transfer business may not be over yet, with two more deals possible before their Premier League opener against Bournemouth.
Liverpool head into the new campaign looking to regroup after their Community Shield defeat to Crystal Palace.
The game ended 2–2 at Wembley on 10 August 2025, with debutants Hugo Ekitike and Jeremie Frimpong finding the net for Liverpool, while Jean-Philippe Mateta (penalty) and Ismaïla Sarr scored for Crystal Palace.
Palace won the shootout 3–2: Mohamed Salah blasted his spot-kick over the bar and Dean Henderson saved penalties from Alexis Mac Allister and Harvey Elliott, with Justin Devenny converting the decisive kick.
That setback has added urgency ahead of their Premier League curtain-raiser against Bournemouth at Anfield on Friday, 15 August 2025.
Kick-off is set for 8:00 pm UK time (12:30 am IST), giving the Reds an early chance to respond and set the tone for the season.

Liverpool are pushing to strengthen before that opener, with Fabrizio Romano revealing personal terms have been agreed with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
DaveOCKOP adds that Liverpool have been in contact with Guehi’s representatives since March, with no issues expected in finalising the contract.
Romano stresses that Leoni is not an alternative to Guehi but part of a parallel recruitment push, as Liverpool aim to land both defenders in the coming days.
The coming days could prove pivotal as Liverpool look to finalise their squad before the new campaign kicks off.
